PART-I

Blog post titled “About My Interest in Psychology”
Use sub-headings. Sub-topics of your post will entail-
q What is the branch of study?
q What topics are studied within that branch?
q What education/training is required for that?
q What kind of jobs relate to this field? Salary?
q Who are prominent psychologists/professionals in this field?
q Personal Application- Why am I interested in this area?

Things to Remember

q  Do not just “copy” and “paste” from other websites
qAdd pictures to make your post stand out and lively (and interesting for the read)
q  Create your article that is personal, meaningful and comprehensive by synthesizing contents from various sources
q  Personal Application- Give instances from your life, past experiences, and/or specific examples that draws you to this branch of psychology.
§  Also, include reasons why you think this field is right for you to venture in and why you think you will be good at it.
q  Make sure you are providing the “sources” or “citations” from where you have referenced them in the end of the article.

IMPORTANT: After you complete the article publish the POST in your blog and copy the link of that particular blog POST (made up example. https://prisblogpsyc1301c.blogspot.com/2018/01/about-my-interest-in-psychology.html) to paste it in the ASSIGNMENT (M1(b) Task) in Canvas.

-          One way to make sure you have the right is by checking if it has your blog name followed by “.blogspot.com” followed by the “year and month” when you wrote the article (the post) and then followed by the name  you gave for your POST (which in this case is “about my interest in psychology”).

qHave your blog published before Thursday so you give enough time to get to PART-II of this assignment.

Blog Comments
PART-II
q  Read other students’ blog posts and comment (visit as many as you are able to, even if you are not commenting on each of them).
qOne of the ways you can access other students' blog is- Canvas page (blog directory) under Blogging related resources. Other way is the Blog page on your section directory here in my Blog. Google drive shared file where you entered your blog addresses is also another way to get to each to each of your blogs.
q  Your comments cannot be- “good work” “could have written more” “wonderful” etc. You have to provide substantial (meaningful) comments and feedback that helps other students grow and for me to see how knowledgeable you are as well.
q  Comment on BOTH posts- About Me and About My Interest (minimum 2 of each).
q  All About Blogger Comments” doc in Canvas will help you with instructions on how to comment and how to respond to other’s comments in your blog.

Things to Remember
IMPORTANT: Once you complete commenting on others’ blog posts and have visiting as many blogs as possible, you have go to ASSIGNMENT section of the Canvas page and open “Week 1-2 blogger comments” assignment. It will ask you to take a QUIZ. There will be 4 questions in the form of statements where you will declare your responses by choosing True or False option.

Remember, I can check each of your blogs to see if you have commented or not, so don't lie. If you say you commented on 2 About me blogs and 2 About my interest in psychology blogs and if I find you had been dishonest, you will be given 0 points for the assignment. I BELIEVE YOU WILL SPEAK TRUTH AND I TRUST YOUR WORD!
